COVID 19 HELP

Ponteland Online has been in existence since 2004 and has a healthy following on Social Media.

We can harness that history to co-ordinate local volunteer care efforts for people who are self isolating, including the elderly, disabled and people with other pre-existing health issues.

We will  also try to co-ordinate support for people who are feeling most isolated/anxious throughout this pandemic. For people with mental health conditions this scale of panic can be overwhelming and so community support is vital.

We are having discussions with Ponteland Town Council, Waitrose, Sainsbury and local chemists and shops to bring together the efforts that are being made and make them available for everyone.

Keep checking back to this page over the coming days and we will add links and information as it becomes available.

Coronavirus is contagious. Please take every precaution to ensure you are spreading only kindness.
Avoid physical contact and keep a 2m distance.
Wash your hands regularly. Items should be left on your doorstep.
Please make sure you know of the person who is helping you.
Do not handover your bank details or bank cards.
If you are unsure of the person who is offering you help, do not accept it. We will try to publish some telephone number here that you can ring and someone will try to help you.

Pontelandonline is aiming to co-ordinate genuine help and cannot be held responsible for anyone who may offer you help.
Volunteers are not vetted, but we hope that they will be known to you as neighbours or local trades people.
